oia: Official Information Act 1982, s 2(1).lgoima: Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987, s 2(1). Needs a region.legislation_act: Legislation Act 2019, s 13. The general definition.building_act: Building Act 2004, s 7(1). Needs a region.rta: Residential Tenancies Act 1986, s 2(1). Needs a region.
Dates must be from 2020 to 2030. The start date is not counted.

About the checks
- A valid result means the number is well formed. It does not prove the number exists or who owns it.
- Bank accounts: checksum only; branch not verified against the Payments NZ register.
- IRD numbers: Inland Revenue's Example 3 (150000026) does not match its own written steps. We follow the written steps, so that number shows as not valid.
Limits
- 60 requests a minute per IP address.
- Requests up to 16 KB.
- We do not store the numbers you check.
